Looking for a Journease Alternative?
Journease is established UK courier management software — job booking, dispatch, invoicing, and driver self-bills, with exports to accounting packages. If that's the shape of tool you're evaluating, it's worth knowing where Qinetic draws the line differently.
Qinetic is not a booking-and-dispatch system. It's a compliance, payments, and vehicle management platform: the self-bill doesn't stop at a generated statement — Qinetic pays drivers directly, and the same system runs your PCNs, walkarounds, and driver documents.
Where each tool focuses
| Journease | Qinetic | |
|---|---|---|
| Core focus | Courier job management: bookings, dispatch, customer invoicing | Compliance, driver payments, and vehicle management |
| Driver self-bills | Generated from completed work | Generated from per-day or per-job rates — then paid |
| Paying drivers | Handled outside — accounting export (e.g. CSV to Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) | Drivers paid directly from Qinetic with no manual online-banking setup |
| Compliance & documents | Not the focus | AI document verification, expiry reminders, DVSA-aligned walkaround checks |
| PCN & fine control | Not offered | FineWatch: capture, track deadlines, appeal — evidence tied to driver and vehicle |
| Driver channel | Driver-facing tools within its suite | WhatsApp-first — report a defect or PCN in under 30 seconds, no new app |

The honest framing
If your biggest problem is taking bookings and dispatching jobs, a courier TMS like Journease is built for that, and Qinetic won't replace it. If your biggest problems are the ones that eat margin quietly — PCNs lapsing past the discount window, subcontractor documents expiring unnoticed, Friday pay runs rebuilt in spreadsheets, drivers chasing the office about pay — that's the ground Qinetic was built on.
The structural difference is the pay run. Tools that generate self-bills still leave you executing payments somewhere else, reconciling three systems every week. Qinetic closes the loop: days and jobs become invoices, and invoices become payments.
What switching (or adding) looks like
No hardware, no IT project: import drivers, documents, and rate cards — AI helps classify and verify — and you can start using Qinetic straight away. Some operators run Qinetic alongside an existing booking system; the compliance, PCN, and pay workflows don't depend on where jobs are booked.
Stop exporting pay runs. Start paying drivers.
