The real difference: who pays

Wise is free for the business because it earns from your subcontractors instead. Its FAQs describe the software as zero cost to the business, with optional invoicing and accountancy products offered to subcontractors. Wise Invoicing is listed at £12.50 a week for the driver.

Qinetic works the other way round. You pay a fixed amount per active driver, and your drivers pay nothing. Their self-bills, payment history and app are free to them, and no fee comes out of their pay. In a market where good drivers move for a few pounds a week, we think that matters.

Choose Wise if...

You run a large subcontracted workforce, your priority is onboarding, employment status and paying everyone in one bulk payment, and you want FCA-regulated payments and ISO 27001 certification from a provider with a long track record. Wise also offers its subcontractors accountancy and perks, which some drivers value.

Choose Qinetic if...

Your problem isn't only the driver, it's the van too. Qinetic keeps MOT and tax, walkaround checks, defects, repairs and parking tickets on the same record as the driver, including subcontractors' own vans, with no tracker to fit.

And if you'd rather pay a clear price yourself than have your drivers pay for the platform, Qinetic is £5 or £8 per driver per month, with nothing charged to drivers. You can try it free for 14 days before speaking to anyone.
