Comparison
Qinetic vs FleetCheck
FleetCheck is one of the UK's most established fleet management platforms — 2,500+ fleets, multi-award winning, and the only FORS-recommended fleet management software. If you're comparing it with Qinetic, here's an honest breakdown.
Short version: they solve overlapping problems from different directions. FleetCheck is dashboard-and-app-led compliance record-keeping. Qinetic is WhatsApp-led operations that also runs PCN control and pays your drivers.
Side by side
| FleetCheck | Qinetic | |
|---|---|---|
| Core approach | Dashboard-led fleet compliance records, with a dedicated driver app for walkaround checks | WhatsApp-led: drivers report in the chat they already use; AI files messages into records |
| Driver adoption | FleetCheck Driver app (install and train) | No new app — WhatsApp for reporting, phone portal for checks and pay statements |
| Compliance records | Strong: vehicle and driver records, DVSA Earned Recognition, FORS record keeping | Strong: AI document verification, expiry reminders, DVSA-aligned walkarounds, audit trails |
| Licence checking | LicenceAssured DVLA checking service | Licence and document verification with expiry tracking |
| PCN & fine management | Not a core product | FineWatch: capture from a WhatsApp photo, assign, appeal, recharge, or pay before deadlines |
| Driver pay & self-billing | Not offered | Per-day/per-job rates → self-bill invoices → automated batch bank payments |
| Accreditations | Only FORS-recommended FMS; ISO 27001; DVSA Earned Recognition support | UK-built workflows (DVSA, DVLA, HMRC self-billing); no FORS recommendation |
| Best fit | Established fleets pursuing FORS / Earned Recognition; mixed asset fleets | Courier and subcontractor fleets; operators who want PCNs and driver pay in the same system |

Choose FleetCheck if...
You're pursuing or maintaining FORS accreditation (it's the only FORS-recommended fleet management software, and assessors know it), you're in DVSA Earned Recognition, or you manage a mixed estate of vehicles, plant, and equipment and want one long-established record system for all of it. It's a mature, well-regarded platform with published pricing and a large UK customer base.
Choose Qinetic if...
Your drivers are subcontractors or high-churn — people who won't install and learn another app. Qinetic meets them in WhatsApp: a defect photo, a PCN, a voice note becomes a filed record in seconds, so your compliance records actually get created instead of depending on data entry.
And if PCNs and driver pay are real pain: FineWatch manages tickets end-to-end, and Qinetic is the only fleet platform that pays your drivers — per-day or per-job rates building self-bill invoices and automated batch bank payments. With FleetCheck you'd still need separate tools for both.
Can you run both?
Some operators do keep an incumbent record system while adopting Qinetic for the WhatsApp workflow, PCN control, and pay run. But for van and courier fleets, most find the overlap large enough that one system — with the finance loop included — is simpler and cheaper than two.
